what university in Montreal ? they speak english , is it "Mac gill" ? then it is a very expensive one ; those students are from privilegied social classes, and I expect them becoming business mates and when it comes to money they will forget their youth fights.

My take on it is...these people are Nazis. They are modern day Nazis. But Nazis were subhuman scum of the earth. And so are they.

That is what I would have chanted back at those who wished to silence me. I would have chanted it, and then said "I will not be intimidated!"
They do not scare me. Rather, they repulse me. It also repulses me to know that similar events have happened at nearby Columbia University, in NYC.

As an ardent hedonist myself I take offense at having to share my title, albeit partly. I would rather you call them demonistic degenerates ;-)
On a serious note, I agree with nomad's assessment.
I used to personally know some of these rioters (before their student visas were cancelled), they are indeed priviledged, and as someone who has always lived within a cat-throwing distance from concordia, I can attest to the fleets of lexus' and benz's that these kids drive. Once they're done with their degrees, they'll go to Dubai or Riyadh, where daddy has a job lined up for them in oil or subcontracting.
I found the youtube clip to be a tad too dramatic. This is Montréal, a city with a very strong leftist current. The concordia riot is woodstock compared to the student riots that take place whenever the govt. suggests raising fees.
Granted, a hundred or so gorillas got excited and trampled a flag, but I wouldn't take it further and start talking about Nazis and concentration camps.
As soon as the riot was over, they all went out for sushi.

I have no problem with students rioting over raising the fees. Well, I have a problem with the rioting, but not with the protest.

On the one hand, I tend to agree with Nomad and Nizo that these kids will forget about all this crap once they finish their degrees.
On the other hand, I would like to put forth the theory that it's idiots such as these that later direct some of the funds that pass through their hands to terrorism.
Most will become just as arrogant and self-centred as the next kid who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but some will still have enough of a believer in them to fund the crimes of others.
